frequently asked questions
what is the difference between a content creator and a videographer?
From my point of view a content creator and a videographer are different in terms of the focus, style, and deliverables. Most content creators are known for their quick turnaround and with edited content that's ready to be shared the very next day. The style of a content creator highlights the behind-the-scenes moments of the day all captured typically on a smartphone.
can content creators replace a photographer or videographer?
Absolutely not. We focus on short-form, shareable media rather than providing high-resolution images for printing or a cinematic film. Content creation is seen as a supplement to - not a replacement for your wedding professional media team.
what exactly do I receive from you?
You will expect a link with lots of separate video clips taken throughout the time we have together. The number of raw clips you receive will vary based on the package you choose. From all the key moments captured throughout your day, I’ll curate and carefully edit a highlight reel or a short video roundup—again this depends on the package you choose. I can also capture some beautifully aesthetic photos throughout the day, but keep in mind that some photographers may include a clause in their contract regarding this. Because of that, I generally focus on video clips to avoid any potential conflicts, plus its also fun to have different shots to look through!
how do I receive the content?
I typically use Google Drive to deliver content, though I occasionally utilize WeTransfer and Dropbox as well. I recommend ensuring that your phone has sufficient storage space to download the content. Further details will be provided upon booking.
do you edit the content using filters?
All the raw video clips you’ll receive the next day will be completely unfiltered — just as they were captured on the day. For the edited highlight reel and videos included in my packages, I’ll add a touch of color grading and light editing to make sure everything flows beautifully and perfectly reflects the vibe of your day.
what equipment do you use?
I mostly use my iPhone 15 Pro Max to film throughout the day. But I also offer the option to include some vintage-style video clips shot on my cute little retro digital camera. If you’ve checked out my Instagram, you’ve probably seen how I mix the two styles to create that subtle, home-movie vibe in my edits. This can be added for a small extra cost. I also come prepared with charging banks, a gimbal, and lighting—just in case we need it!
what are your booking terms?
First, you’ll need to fill out the enquiry form—simple as that! Once it’s submitted, it goes straight into my CRM system, where I’ll see all your lovely details. If I’m available, I’ll get back to you (just a heads-up: my reply might sneak into your junk folder, so keep an eye out!). After we’ve had a chat and you’re ready to book, I’ll ask for a 30% deposit of the total cost. Once that’s sorted, I’ll send over the contracts!
do you cover any destination weddings?
I can absolutely cover this for you, but the process is a little different. For destination weddings, I’ll need the travel and accommodation costs upfront so I can book everything as soon as possible. This acts as your deposit and will be deducted from the total cost. Since destination weddings require extra planning, please only get in touch if you’re ready to go ahead with either the 8 hours or 10 hour package.
